Early in the morning, at four o'clock, the alarm sirens woke us. Probably some earthquake warning alarm, it was actually an earthquake at the same time in Guatemala. We still don’t really know why the sirens sounded but in any case the noise and worry made it difficult to sleep again. At about ten o'clock the sound was blown for danger over.

The sun was shining, all day, at a clear blue sky. We celebrated Bo’s birthday with coffee, cake and a beer. Most of the day we spent, enjoying the sun's intense heat.

In the late afternoon we went for a sightseeing walk into the city and got stuck for several hours at a little restaurant with a very nice staff. Through the cozy illuminated old city, we went home, late in the evening . Silves is a real highlight.
