Early in the morning when the sun was rising, it looked as if it might be a good day with plenty of sunshine, but after a few hours dark clouds pitched over Silves. The thunder roared and soon it was raining cats and dogs. But every cloud has a silver lining, at eleven o'clock it became clear and we dared to go out for a city walk, raincoat standby and armed with umbrella. Luckily there came no more rain, and after a coffee break in town, we went back to the motorhome. Late in the afternoon we continued to a new motorhome parking in Albufeira. This location is being built on Albufeira's old football stadium. There is space for about 80 motorhomes in various sizes and new facilities are being built. Some of the new toilets with shower were ready, very clean and tidy in the referee changing room. Even washing and drying machines were in place. |
Many of the spots for motorhomes were not navigable because of the persistent rain, with the result that we neatly buried the front wheels instead of putting rear wheels on blocks. We fix that tomorrow, here we stand good for the night. Strikingly many Swedish motorhomes have joined here. Both new and old acquaintances. Socialization is extensive, there are many to talk to. We will stay here three days for only 4,50 €/day all facilities included.
Good place!
