We woke up at eight by a bellowing foghorn from the lighthouse though there was no sign of fog. At breakfast, we decided to look for a campsite, the laundry basket had become overfilled. Esposende had to manage without us, the next stop on the coastal road was Vila do Conde which has several large camper parking lots, on gravel next to the beach and on stone a little closer to the town.

Even if the temperature is comfortable, the sky is overcast nearly all day so we draw upon our way to the camping life. The local minor roads are often made of cobblestone, very uneven. Even at low speed everything in the camper rattled in one hour until we came to the small town of Vila Chã and Parque de Campismo Sol de Vila Chã (sun in tea town).

There stood already five campers before and two came behind us, they also stood in the parking lot in Esposende. Three Dutch, 2 GB, 1 F, 1 D and 1 S, but otherwise it's pretty full with Portuguese caravans standing here all year around. The Portuguese have spent the weekend here, it’s a vibrant, friendly and authentic family camping. This camping has everything we need without unnecessary luxury. Late in the evening all The Portuguese went home and we became a very quiet night.
