There are a few things in the car's equipment we would never travel without: a spare tire, a shovel and four tire traction mats. In the morning, it took five minutes to dig out the front wheels, drive the car on solid ground, and then we moved the motorhome to a drier spot. In the afternoon we went the 1500 m. down to the beach and were amazed at Albufeira's charming appearance. There was no bathing weather but still, it was so warm that we had to rest on one of the nice cafés, on the beach promenade, drinking a cold Sagres and listen to South American pan flute music as it swung a lot. Once back at our motorhome it was time for socializing with all motorhome friends and new acquaintances. |
Gunilla & Bosse had accompanied us from Silves to here and Mona & Charlie were already in place last night when we got to the arena. The other day I heard someone call some campsite for the “Top Sweden” (Svensktoppen), because of many Swedish campers staying there, but this motorhome park, they may gladly rename to “Sweden Arena”. In any case we enjoy us really good, both with the arena and with its temporary inhabitants. Albufeira has everything you could wish for, to enjoy and feel good! Here we can think of staying a few months in winter time, next year.
